Things to see and do in Colac

The Baronga Motor Inn is close to the RSL and there is a walking path to the Botanical Gardens and Lake. Places of interest in the area include the Otway Ranges which has numerous walking tracks and waterfalls.The Otway Fly, a tree top walk  situated 20 kilometres from Colac, shows off the magnificent scenery of the Great Ocean Road and the 12 Apostles. Otway Estate Winery and Brewery is located 10 minutes from Colac with Cellar door sales and cafe. Lorne and Apollo Bay beaches and fishing are located within one hour of Colac.

Colac is a commercial and civic service centre of about 14,500 people located at the eastern edge of the world's third-largest volcanic plain which is scattered with craters and cones. The fertile soil has rendered it a highly productive agricultural, pastoral and dairying district noted for its onions, potatoes, cattle, pigs, poultry, sheep and milk products. Evidence of the area's long-established prosperity is evident in a number of fine colonial homesteads which still exist in a district known as the lakes area.

Baronga Motor Inn is on the Princess Highway in the Centre of Colac.

From Melbourne / Geelong: we are the first motel on the right coming into Colac. Just past the primary school.

Travelling from the west (Camperdown): over the bridge at the base of the main street and we are on the left.

Colac is 2 hours from Melbourne airport and one hour fifteen minutes from Avalon airport.
