Our motel rooms are magnificently spacious, no matter which configuration you choose, you can expect a generous level of comfort. Our breakfast room can easily be converted to a conference facility to serve your meeting requirements.
The Mandarin Motel features under cover parking for all rooms which have been purpose built above the car park. The decor and furnishings reflect a citrus theme, in keeping with the motel name, which comes from the fact that it is located on an old mandarin grove.
Things to see and do in Macksville
Macksville is a relaxed fishing and oyster-farming town at the centre of the rich rural district of the Nambucca Valley. Unpretentious, natural and friendly are words most often used to describe the area with its lush countryside and beautiful National Parks. These include The Yarriabini, Dunggir, Dorrigo, New England and Ngambaa Nature Reserve. There are a number of picnic areas and parks scattered throughout the town and district that allow for some great outdoors activities for the family while the Nambucca River offers such recreational activities as fishing, canoeing and rowing, jetskiing and water skiing.
Macksville is close to the coast allowing easy access to the some great beaches and fishing spots along the coastal area. It also offers access to a number of the inland tourist attractions with places such as 'The Pub With No Beer' just a short drive from Macksville. Visit The Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club for a leisurely day out or explore some of the local outlets to sample Nambucca's world famous oysters. Choc-a-holics look no further for dessert. Try the riverside Bridge Cafe Macksville - one of the old-style Greek Cafes on the North Coast with its delicious range of hand made chocolates. (It's a hard place to leave)
The Macksville Show is held in April while The Rusty Iron Rally held each Fathers Day at Macksville Showground is the largest vintage and heritage machinery show on the North Coast and during October the Pro Agricultural Field Day is a day out for the whole family.
