Every two years, Chinchilla hosts the Melon Festival, which attracts people from around Australia. Visitors can stroll through the classic sandstone homestead of Jimbour House with impressive gardens and sample some award winning wine from the Cellar Door. Chinchilla White Gums Motor Inn in the Shire of Chinchilla is 3.5 hours drive from Brisbane and located at the western extent of the Darling Downs region of Queensland.

Situated on the corner of the Warrego Highway and King Street - opposite the Visitor Information Centre. Entrance to motel is in King Street. The Greyhound Bus drop off and pick up is 300m away.
