The Molong Motor Inn is situated right in the heart of the Historic town of Molong (32 kilometres north of Orange NSW). The motel is set in the grounds of John Black’s historic home (1878). We are an easy walk to Molong's shops, restaurants and tourist attractions.

The Molong Motor Inn is a small family-run business with just 16 units of which 4 are family rooms catering for up to 5 guests. All rooms have modern ammentities with queen-size beds. Non-smoking rooms are available as well as rooms with facilities for the disabled. Internet connection to rooms. Room service is available upon request. We have a beautifully restored licensed bar.

Things to do in Molong:

The town of Molong is classified by the National Trust and the town's name comes from the Aboriginal word meaning "Place of Many Rocks". You can visit Yuranigh's Grave, an historic Aboriginal site, one of the first Aboriginal burial sites to be listed for protection on the State Heritage Register.

To view Molong's heritage take a stroll along Bank Street or consider the local Walking Tour for a pleasant look back into 19th century Australia. Historical relics can also be viewed at Molong's Historical Museum on the corner of Gidley and Riddell Streets. Today the town has become a rich farming district producing wheat, sheep, wool, cattle, fruit and wine.

Enjoy a coffee at one of the Cafes or try the shopping at one of the Craft Shops or Art Galleries in town or you may prefer to visit nearby historic villages such as Yeoval, Cumnock and Cudal. Others places of interest include Molong Yarn Market and Cobb and Co Coach House.

Be sure to stop at the local farmgate for regional produce or a cellar door along the way. The nearest Wineries include, Rolling Vineyard Cumulus, La Colline, Nashdale and Dindima Wines. Orange Wine Week is an annual event held about mid October.
