Things to Do in Warrnambool:

Warrnambool is known as Victoria's southern right whale nursery. These giants return to Logans Beach every June to September and can often be seen just 100 metres off the shore. You can visit the Whale Nursery during May to October. The City is located on the wide sweep of Lady Bay along the Great Ocean Road, and has marvelous beaches including Pickering Point, Thunder Point and Point Ritchie.

Explore numerous coastal reserves and walking tracks with secluded beaches and rocky points, penguin colonies, good fishing and bird watching. Nearby Lake Pertobe adventure playground and park is a favourite place for families. The award winning 'Fun4Kids' festival held during June and July.

To experience a unique microcosm of botany and wildlife, travel a few kilometres west of town to Tower Hill, home to an ancient volcanic crater complete with lake and lava tongue. A drive down the Great Ocean Road is a must to view the fabulous 12 Apostles. Other places of interest include the Otway Fly Suspension Walk, Tower Hill Wild Life Haven, Hopkins Falls and the Speedway (Home of World Series Sprint Cars).
