Enjoy our newly developed foreshore complete with children's playground, BBQ's and surf beach. There is over 17 kms of cycle and walking ways to explore including the bushwalk trail known as Turtle Way, that winds beside the beautiful Boyne River, through bushland, dunes and parks of both Tannum and Boyne Island. Enjoy boating on the river or dam and reef fishing, golf or just slow down and relax on our foreshore.

Tranquil Turkey Beach, one of the closest mainland points to the Great Barrier Reef, is just an hour's drive south. Nearby protected Rodds Harbour is a fisherman's paradise which boasts some of the best mud crabs in the country. Just a little further south you will find the Town of 1770 where Captain Cook's Endeavour was anchored all those years ago.

For some cultural entertainment take a short drive north to Gladstone home of cinema and shopping complexes, the Regional Art Gallery and Museum, as well as the Maritime Museum which has a great collection of artifacts from over 200 years of maritime history. Over the Easter long weekend, Gladstone plays host to two major events, the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and the Gladstone Harbour Festival, annual events that see Gladstone overflowing with tourists and visitors.
