Orange is a vibrant rural city, located at the base of an extinct volcano, west of the Great Dividing Range. We are the birthplace of poets Banjo Paterson and Kenneth Slessor.
This area is famous for its distinct seasons. During Autumn, the city and countryside glow with golden reds and oranges. In winter the colours are stark and deep and snow occasionally decorates the bare branches. In spring the vine burst and the landscape is decorated with blossoms, and Summer brings rich greens and golds. All year round you can enjoy fishing, touring the wineries, sampling local produce and dining at the award winning restaurants.
