Finding Our Nelson Bay Motel

Nelson Bay is approximately 220 kilometres or 2.5 hours drive North of Sydney via the F3 Freeway.

Coming to Port Stephens by car on the F3 Freeway or Pacific Highway. At the end of the Freeway, turn right at the roundabout, following the sign 'Hexham & Pacific Highway' (BP Service station and Hungry Jacks will be on your next left). The road veers to the right where you will merge with the New England Highway. Merge to the left lane following the sign 'Taree & Pacific Highway', which will direct you over the Hexham bridge. Drive 1km and then turn right onto Tomago Road. You are still a good 45 minutes away from Nelson Bay. Continue to the roundabout intersecting Nelson Bay Road, turn left and follow Nelson Bay Road into Nelson Bay. Continue through Nelson Bay past the Marina. Follow the signs to 'Shoal Bay' onto Shoal Bay Road. Pass the RSL Club on your left, then turn left at the roundabout into Gowrie Ave. The Admiral Nelson Motor Inn is on your left.
