Captain's at the Bay in Apollo Bay is a contemporary Bed and Breakfast offering superb accommodation, peace and quiet, privacy and great service, and the advantage of being short walk to the foreshore, (150 metres), beach, restaurants, Visitor Information Centre and Apollo Bay's busy shopping centre.

Captain's at the Bay has 11 luxuriously appointed suites in 5 different configurations. All accommodation is tastefully decorated where old is combined with new in an environment that is friendly and non intrusive. The guest lounge and dining area is large, open, warm and elegant. Set up restaurant style, it is a welcoming room where we serve a generous Australian breakfast. It is your area to use with papers, books, magazines and a big open fire.

Captain’s at the Bay is licensed with a small range of wines, beers and spirits. In the warmer months, when crayfish are in season, by special arrangement, we cater for intimate dinners including seafood platters and crayfish salads. Prices are seasonal.

Finding Our Apollo Bay B&B

To get to Apollo Bay, you will drive along the Spectacular Great Ocean Road, or via the equally Magnificent Otway Ranges. Travel time will vary depending on which way you come and the time of year.

From Melbourne, if you drove via the Great Ocean Road, and took your time to enjoy the scenery, you could expect to be in the Bay within a few hours. TRAVEL DISTANCES & TIMES (MELBOURNE - 189 Km -2.5 hrs) (12 Apostles - 91Km - 1hr.20 min) (GEELONG - 114 Km - 1.5 hrs) On arrival in Apollo Bay, turn right at the Shell Petrol Station, then 1st left. Captains is 2 blocks up on the right hand side. Opposite Foodworks carpark.
