Finding our Sydney Youth Hostel

From Sydney Airport: FunkHouse Backpacker provides a Free airport shuttle pickup (*2 night minimum stay required). Call us on the free phones at Sydney airport and we can organise pickup. From Sydney International or Domestic Airport, call us on the phone number on your confirmation or use the 'Backpacker Info Board' at the airport. FREE airport pickup 5.00am to 8.30pm (conditions apply).

From Central Station take the train (platform 24) to Kings Cross Station (only 7 minutes). Exit the station onto 'DARLINGHURST RD', turn left down Darlinghurst Road and walk approx 50 meters, and turn left into 'LLANKELLY PLACE' and you'll see Funkhouse's big bright sign.

By Car: Unfortunately we don't have parking for the youth hostel, however there is free street parking (about 2 minutes walk from the front door). There is also a security car park that costs about $18 per day. It's best to drive up to Darlinghurst Road and check in first. Then we can give you directions to where to park your car safely in Kings Cross.
