Port Campbell
Port Campbell Victoria is 6 hours drive from Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road which makes this a good overnight stop for people that don't have much time. You can enjoy good food in a quiet and unspoiled village and then get up in the morning to see the 12 Apostles rock formations from Port Campbell National Park. Then, you'll have shorter return trip to Melbourne via the inland Princes Highway through Camperdown and Colac.
If you have more time, Port Campbell is a great place to relax and unwind. Take to the air for a bird's-eye view of the Twelve Apostles by helicopter, or join a boat tour to experience the 12 Apostles from sea. While you're out on the water you might see whales, dolphins and seals. Other stunning coastal features include Loch Ard Gorge, Gibson Steps and the Bay of Islands.. all within an easy drive of Port Campbell.
