Narrabri
Narrabri NSW is a small town in the rich Namoi Valley. Narrabri is the central town for a productive agricultural region with a resident population of around 7,500. Narrabri is halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, where the Newell and Kamilaroi Highways meet.
Narrabri district is popular area for tourism due to features like the Mount Kaputar National Park, the CSIRO Australia Telescope, the Australian Cotton Centre, and other rural attractions of the district. Narrabri is headquarters for 2 of Australia's major agricultural research stations: the IA Watson Grains Research Centre and the Australian Cotton Research Institute.
Narrabri's Nosh on the Namoi festival is held annually in April celebrating and promoting Narrabri's local and regional produce and culture through glorious food and wine, art, music and performance. The event gets it's name because it's held on the banks of the Namoi River.
