Port Noarlunga (Adelaide)

Port Noarlunga is seaside holiday destination 30 km to the south of Adelaide. Port Noarlunga has a resident population of approx 2,500 people of which many commute to work in Adelaide. Port Noarlunga also within the area Onkaparinga, South Australia.

Gawler St is the main hangout for visitors and tourists where you'll find cafes, a pub, a fish and chip shop, a surf shop and the old "Institute" building, built in 1924, Port Noarlunga's community centre.

Port Noarlunga was originally established as a sea port. The Port Noarlunga Reef and Onkaparinga Estuary Aquatic Reserve was the first proclaimed reef reserve in South Australia. The Port Noarlunga Jetty feature that leads nearly all the way to reefs (about 400 metres from shore). The beach is large and very long and has reasonable surfing in the South Port area.

Port Noarlunga is bounded to the south by the Onkaparinga River, including a tidal estuary and bounded to the west by the Gulf St Vincent.
